Roughly speaking, the DX disks were used in W208 CLK, W210 E class, Pre 2004 SL, CL, S class, W163 ML, G-Wagen, and the W203/W209 CLK before the late 2004 facelift.
If you look at your map CD and it covers just one or two countries, and has DX on it, then DX disks are the map disks for your system.
